- Fourofour G Final Year Students Adhisankar, IshadAhamed, Hariprasadand, Jebazd Jayarajbalan presented the project on “Effective Solar Tracking System For Optical Power Generation & Utilization For Automatic Street Light” at ELCOT Chennai on 19/6/14 and Won the fourth prize ,the event was organized by ICTACT academe and the prizes were distributed at Coimbatore on 25/6/14
- The following students of ECE Department have won the Best Project Award in state level category organized by International Society for Scientific Research and Development(ISSRD)in the Title “Intelligent Nurse Aiding Humanoid ”under the guidance of Mr.S.Ramesh, Asst. - S.Ethiraj and T.Gokulakrishnan participated in Project Contest SCIMIT’13 held at Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology on 28th February2013
- S. Ethiraj and T. Gokulakrishnan presented a paper titled “Eliminating the effects of fog and rain attenuation for multiplexed data” in National Conference on Advanced Communication & Computing Techniques (NCACCT’13) held at Sri Sairam Engineering College on 18.03.2013and 19.03.2013
- Hemavinotheni. G of III year ECE have participated in 13Nationals representing Tamil Nadu for softball championship since 2013
- The project entitled, “ Multiplexed Data Transmission through Free Space Optics” done by S.Ethiraj and T.Gokulakrishnan, Final year students under the guidance of Mr.M.Baskaran, A.Phas won the winners title phase-1 of TI Analog Design contest 2012-13 held as part of Texas Instruments University Program.
- Vivetha .V of IV year ECE won NOKIA INDIAFEST 2013 a national level cultural fest held at Goa, with a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-& gift voucher worth Rs. 80,000/-.

- Event–Paintingat Anna University for “WorldAidsDay” on 30.11.12. S.Karthika – I-ECE- 2 has won third prize in painting
- Vivetha.V of ECE III year Came as Runner up in CAMPUSJIVE 2012 an inter collegiate dance competition and received prize worth Rs,1,00,000/-. Vivetha.V of ECE III year won 2nd place in SHOCK 2012 – a professional western dance competition.
- D.Santhosh of III year ECE won 1st prize in Circuit Debugging in a National level Symposium held at Prathyusha Institute of Tech.
- Pankaj Kumar Tiwari and G. Muthukrishnan of III year ECE won 1st prize in Technical Spell-National level Symposium at Velammal Engg. College
