About the Department

Department Of Physics

The department of Physics was established in 1999 during the inception of the college, in order to impart quality education for undergraduate engineering students in the field of Physics.

The department focus on effective knowledge transfer and strives to bring in successful research in novel frontiers of basic and applied science has contributed towards the cause and growth of the college. The department of Physics has been recognized as a Research Centre by Anna University, Chennai. The course curriculum is periodically upgraded to suit the requirements of different engineering as per the guidelines of Anna University and AICTE.

The department provides the platform for the students to widen their perspective about the interface between the engineering and the Physics through inducting seminars and guest lectures by the experts in various fields.

The faculty members of the department of Physics are highly qualified, dedicated and focused towards research activity.

The Physics laboratory is fully equipped for conducting practical sessions in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and syllabus.

Vision, Mission

Vision

To disseminate the young minds towards understanding and learning the fundamental concepts of Physics and their applications and to transform them in to competent and erudite professionals in their respective fields.

Mission

  • To provide knowledge in engineering programmes and in interdisciplinary areas along with developing a problem-solving aptitude among the students.
  • To become a centre of excellence in pure and applied Physics by developing research-based innovative curriculum and techniques.
